on my way to work today my clutch took a crap on me.

it drove fine for the 10 min. drive to work and as soon as i got into town i tried to shift into 3rd and the pedal stuck to the floor, and it would not let me shift. so i stoped and tried to shift but now the only gear it will shift into is reverse... but even in reverse it will not move.

p.s. my car is a 1995 eagle talon tsi with 65,XXX miles on it if this helps any.

Check clutch hydraulics for fluid leaks, I'm willing to bet either your master or slave (or both) took a crap on you.

Thats what happend to me also, Turned out when I was working on my car last I asked my brother to check the fluid level for me and if it was low to fill it, and his ass forgot. When I checked it after having the problem shifting. There was no fluid in the master what so ever it was dry. I was PISSED:mad:

Has the same problem, fill up the master cylinder (little bottle by firewall, driver side) Pump the clutch a little that will get you up and running. Then from there see of there is any fluid inside the car. Under the dash, look up to the left where it comes into the firewall where you clutch is. If there is fluid there it’s your MC. If not then it might be you slave cylinder. Slave is really easy install, MC isn’t bad just more of a pain in the @$$. And of course after doing either one bleed the system with some fresh fluid.

Diff a fluid leak in the Clutch line some where. First refill your Clutch Fluid then have some one pump the pedal. Check near the Clutch master/slave cyclinder. Next listen to see if you can hear any leaking fluid, run you fingers along the lines until you find a leak, other then that. It should be good.

so you filled it and it ran fine???

Pretty Much. But the Sytem was so dry I had a Air bubble in my line after I filled it and had to pump the clutch a couple of times it get it going. The night before I bled my line, I did a little racing and the Air bubble just went away so I lucked out and did not have to bleed the lines
