aiight guys.. here is another one of those questions for you

aiight.. 90TSI AWD 5spd..

I just tried to do a boost leak test and I cant tell what is going on.. But when i start the car up and give it throttle, the car acts like It cant handle any positive boost at all. and the rpms start going up and down and I hear a popping (like a back firing noise) coming from the IC..

Whats going on?

Oh.. and the car is all stock except for the the no cat

New plugs and computer

But I know I need a new Knock sensor.

Thanks for ya help ahead of time.

alright.. I took off my intercooler anf found about 1/3 a cup of oil in it.. of course my pipes were soaked in oil too.

I cleaned it out with kerosene and hooked it back on.

still same problem. when I get into positive boost and the rpms hit 3500 or 4000 I hear the turbo spooling really loud and hear the blow off valve releasing air, but the rpms start going up and down and I hear it backfiring from around the intercooler..

someone PLEASE HELP!

thanks for the reply Defiant... Looks like I will try to switch with my spare turbo.

Although, when I check the current turbo for any shaft play.. it seems perfect. I just notice alot of oil in the lines.. THink maybe it might be bad seals?
