ok this is the deal.
my girlfriend is looking into a 98 GSX auto that has 99k on it. pretty much stock car except for cat back exhaust and k&n intake filter. other then that it has never been modded. still on stock t25.....
problem is the car spikes boost from 12-13 psi up to 15psi then chugs and makes and odd brrrrrr blop blop noise... thats the best i can describe it. at idle its 18 vacume
what should i be looking for? bad turbo? seals went out? major boost leak? what could be causing this? wastegate acutator? i drove the car for about 30 minutes. it had not been run in about 3 months from what the owner said. it smoked out the exhaust pipe for about 5 minutes when it was warming up. then pretty much stoped. (grey smoke).... the car ran fine until after 13 psi... then felt like crap......
please any help would be great

. thanks it sure could be that. i never had a2g bov on my car i had a greddy type s from day 1. thanks for the help but 90k miles on a car just dosnt sound to appealing to me i think im going to have her look at a 99 gst auto with 4k miles on it for 9,500 i found. a mechanic scred up and blew the original motor and had to put in a new one. theres like 80k on the body and the owner needs a bigger car now.
