2G CEL - Fuel Pressure Solenoid

I'm getting a CEL for Fuel pressure Solenoid. It comes on almost everytime i shut the car off and turn it back on. When i turn off the cel with my pocketlogger while driving it stays off though. I guess the seliniod goes bad maybe. i have a boost guage and tapped fuel pressure solenoid. i checked all the connections and its not leaking. i have 18hg at idle. should i get a new solenoid??? when the light is on performance doesn't seem to be affected but i cant really tell.

It doesn't matter if it's leaking or not; it won't throw a light for a leak. Just make sure the wiring harness is hooked into it snugly. If it's not plugged in right, then it will set off the CEL.

no its plugged in correctly. my valve cover had a crack in it so i bought a new cover. i drove around spraying oil for a week or so. i think oil might have affected something.
