Turbo Probs/Questions

Just bought my first DSM. 91 TSI...and im a Rotory guy (88RX7) And i dont really know crap about this DSM...but anywayz..

The guy i bought it from said he didnt prime the 16g turbo correctly, and said that somehow it broke and now the oil is mixing with the coolant??? He had replaced the motor not to long ago, it has about 110k on it. I dont thing its the Head or Head gasket because there is no white smoke out of the exhaust.

Any ideas? Ill post more details after i pick up the car this afternoon....thanx

we need more details? like color of smoke or anything that might help us decide whats going on. Well I would suggest you flush the coolant and such too... well I would say he prob made something go boom

thats just it. theres no smoke at all. i believe that some Turbos are oil and water cooled....is this the case with a DSM 16g??
basically what i want to know is if there is any way that a failed/cracked turbo can cause the Oil and Coolant to mix? thanx

How do you know that the coolant and oil is mixing?
What makes you think that your turbo is bad?

Well, what makes me think my oil and coolant is mixing is the fact that if you drain the coolant and replace it, drive it for about a month and redo it, there is oil in the coolant again. The engine was just all redone and there is no blue or white smoke coming out of the exhaust. Basically what i THINK the problem is, when he put that turbo on he didnt prime the turbo correctly, causing it to overhead and crack the housing, wich is allowing the oil and coolant to mix....thats my theory anyways and i was just wondering if i was right??? any ideas?
