hey guys,
i have a 2g tsi and it has a greddy type s on it with an aftermarket UICP. after coming back from the shop the type s doesn't blow off the way it used to . [ the high pitched noise ] .. i rerouted the boost lines to run from the mani to the blow off and the wastegate to the comp housing. there are about 4-5 threads that are exposed on the BOV itself..

all it sounds like now is a like a 1G BOV [ the air noise instead of the whistle ] . also, i'm almost positive i dont have a leak there either

any idea what's going on?

Well what exactly did the shop do? Did it have anything to do with the turbo or vacuum lines. Also are you holding boost? good luck!

Thats how mine is setup. Make sure the lower nipple hose is a boost hose "Like the nipple from the j-pipe - lower nipple" When mine wasn't hooked up right and not covered, "also being capped by a vacum line" It fluttered. Try loosenin it up a bit then taking it around the block then tighten it back down ;).

THat happens when you tighten the spring on top then tighten down the nut....i have my spring set too tight but dont' wanna loosen it for fear of not being able to tighten it again (weird I nkow, but these things are fragile as heck)...

mine does the same thing...just loosen it up (SOFT) and it'll go away
