Edwardsville,
On my spyder, the back little window that goes up and down has stoped working. When I was inside the bank, my friend reached over and tried to roll the windows up. The switch for my little window on my side sometimes sticks. So as I was driving down the road we started to smell something awful. We popped the hood and saw nothing. Then I looked inside and saw smoke coming from the crack in the window and through the rear speaker. I saw that the switch was stuck in the up position. Well I imediatley pushed it down and ofcorse nothing happened. I assume the motor has been burnt up. When I lower the top all 3 other windows go down but not the one i fear has burnt up. Are all the windows run to a single fuse? Or could it just be that window's fuse has burnt up? (please, please, please)
I talked to a auto place, and they said it was $500 dollers just for a new rear motor assembley (apparentley you cant get JUST the motor). It would cost me $400 for a used one installed!!! This is ubsurd. My friend said he would pay half (and apparentley up to a max 50) to help since he did break it accidentley.
What should I do guys? Can I rig some manuel crap up to where i can just push it up and then lodge somethen in between the seal to make it stay up? I mean, I REALLY dont want to pay 400+ to get this fixed! Any worth while sugestions appriated!
