HOW much tourble am I in???

ok i've had this clicking/knocking sound in the belt area of my car for about a month and its annoying as hell. i researched it and from what you guys have said and after i checked it out, the problem appears to be my harmonic balancer on the crank pulley. how dangerous is this, i plan on ordering the part today, but its my only ride to school and work. should i just park the thing until i get the new pulley or will i be ok for about a week?

When mine went it just went. Lost everything. I would not drive it, you could really f**k up your car.

picked up the pulley from the mitsu dealer and took off the old crank pulley..fell into pieces as soon as it came off and we found metal shavings up against the left side of the engine where it had been rubbing. put the new one on all problems solved!! sounds and runs great yes!
