i have a 95 gsx with a fp big t28 i just got it back from having it rebuilt 2 days ago because i lost a timing belt it was running great its never run cleaner boosting just fine no problems after driving around for about an hour on my way home i went to step on it and the turbo sounded like it was sucking in much more air than normal it sounded like it was spooling just fine but it didnt put any power to the car after about the same amount of time it would take to get full boost and kick in hard it only kicked very very very little it also felt like it was struggeling to get any air at all but i could hear it getting tuns it was too dark and late for me to see if there was any abnormal smoke im going to check that 1st thing in the morning as well as pull off the intake and check the turbo blades for any play and any extra oil any ideas what it could be i have no ideas on this one the stock boost gauge is showing the boost levels going up i dont have an aftermarket on it to check it

I would check for boost leaks. It is quite possible that the mechanic that did the motor forgot to tighten down a hose clamp. If the smoke is black then that would also point to a boost leak.

sounds like your IC piping fell off. go under the car and check it. same thing happened to my friend when he was driving me some place and we stopped the car and had the ic piping back on and good to go in like 15 min.

Wastegate pin. Mine broke the other day, and the same thing happened. THe pin broke and the arm slid off allowing the wastegate to just chill open all the time. Only difference was that I did not hear much of a spooling sound at all. Try that.

If his IC piping fell off, the car would idle like crap, and he wouldnt really be able to even drive.

true... when my friend's IC piping he limped it home shifting at like 1800-2000. the piping hadnt completely come off... it was held on a little bit by the rubber jointy things that you need for linking solid piping.

overall id say run a boost leak check, or just take it back to where you had service done and make them fix it.

usually the more boost you loose, the easier the fix... unless your turbo is blowing up or something.
