Hey all, I was pointed to the fact of how bad my TPS is out of whack, and I definately need to adjust the thing. I just need help on how to get to it!! There is the top bolt/screw, easy to loosen. But there is the bottom one I am having a B***H of a time getting to, I dont know if there is a reccomended tool/method to getting at it, w/o removing other parts.. I'm hoping there is a way, but it looks bleak
If i cant get at the screw w/o taking off the rail and take the rail off, i have to depressurize the fuel system right? How do i depressurize that? Im going to use readings from the logger to adjust... any help would be just great. thanks guys.

You dont wanna remove the TB because you dont wanna break the gasket. I found my 90 to be easier to get at than my 91, but I was able to get to both by using a knuckled socket set up and a lot of patience. Just loosen it enough to make it movable, so loosen the top first. In the junkyards, I found it real easy to just remove the fuel rail to get at it, bu tthen you still gotta but it back. My buddy read the resistance because he has a degree in electronics, so I cannot help you there.

Hmm ok..maybe i'll go out and look for another socket to try, mine bent but i guess not enough...
well im not gonna use resistance, im just running my logger w/ key on and monitoring the readings, w/ the top screw loosened it worked, cause i could twise the TPS enough to get the % to change. anyways, off to find tools...thanks!, anyone else is also welcome to help:thumb:

There are instructions on how to adjust your TPS on RRE's website. As for the bottom bolt, it's a pain to get to. I used a short, small, 8mm combo wrench with a lot of twisting and wiggling of my fingers and wrists through different openings to loosen and tighten. I didn't find any need to touch the fuel rail, but then again, I have slim fingers.:D
