Just post here...
What sensors can cause a insanely high idle? Im talking 3000RPM. I dont mean like ISC, or ECU, or BISS blah blah... Im onto electrical now..maybe..

Can an O2 cause an idle that high? Mine is getting a .03-.05 jump at idle..??

Can a bad coolant temp sensor do it? i didnt test mine but assume good, because the radiator fans come on still.

MAF is good.

TPS, i get 12% on the logger at idle, which i was told by one individual is A-OK.

Bothered me here, the Idle position switch (The rubber boot thing on top of TB) when you unplug it the idle stays the same...hmmm??

Any other sensors/oddball things causing super high idles? my Hair is thinning from being ripped out haha.. thanks guys :thumb: Haha..i was thinking of even posting "5 Dollars to anyone's paypal who correctly identifies my problem!" hahaha...:dsm:

uh oh haha..well like i said i was TOLD that was normal...i dont know for a fact...i know if its thru the SAFC it will say 0, cause it doesnt know what its doing....i am using my palm. maybe someone will jump in and help us!

holy shit! 12%? How tight do you have your throttle cable? What are you getting at WOT? Adjust your TPS and throttle cable and you should be okay. At idle, your tps should be less then 5% or so.

Oxygen sensor will not cause high idle because the ecu doesn't even use the oxygen sensor till it heats up and goes into closed loop.

Coolant temp sensor shouldn't matter. You could test it using a DVOM (ohm meter). Not sure the specs off hand.

The rubber boot thing on top of your throttle body...Does it have a screw in it? I am guessing that is your BISS screw. The rubber thing is just a boot to keep dust out and to keep the screw from falling out if it unscrews. That will have a big effect on your idle if it isn't adjusted properly. Vfaq.com for more info on this.

Also a high idle can also be caused by a vacuum/boost leak. Are you turbo (sorry didn't check)? Does it still pull hard under WOT? I would also recommend pressure testing your intake system.

PM me for more help! later!
