hey, I have a 91 talon tsi awd, and these two vacuum lines coming off the intake mani, not sure exactly where they go, and I think one off the TB..I tried searching for a vac diagram but couldn't find anything...

could anyone help me find where these go? or just hook me up with a decent vac diagram, thanks alot :talon:

Alright I'll try to borrow a friends digy camera, the two lines on the TB say A1 and A2 I believe, their right next to each other, right now there is just a hose that is connecting them to, but I know its wrong?

There should be a vacume diagram on the underside of the hood (was on mine before I replaced it). Also any of the Chiltons / Haynes books at PepBoys / AutoZone will have it.

My 1990 is different (which is what Taboo's diagram is based on).. but the vac lines off the TB are for the EGR/ThrmoValve and Charcoal Canister Purve Valve. None of which you really need :shhh:

Pictures are blurry, but the 2nd one is same as first but the hose is smaller and like 3-4in to the right of the bigger one....

EDIT: sorry the pictures are so big....:(

Ouch.. my eyes

what are the other end of these connected to?

The one in PIC#1-2 looks like either the BOV line or PCV line. Both connect to nipples on the Intake manifold near where the injectors are:

BOV Cyl#2
PCV Cyl#4

the bigger one goes to the valve cover where your hand was covering up, PCV (1&2 pics). the other smaller one looks like the BOV line.

Its not the one that goes to the valve cover, its right next to that, its located right behinde #2 injector....right next to it, and the smaller one is right next to that right behinde #3 injector...

not that line...that normally does go to the intake, but the filter is fine as long as your not leaking to much oil through it.

the pcv(you can see it screws into the cover) is on the back left of the valve cover.

i see a hose clamp on the pcv in the pic. is that line already going to the IM?

check to see if there is a line hooked up to your BOV and if so trace to see where it goes.

just to be clear...we are NOT talking about the emmisions stuff on the throttle body..right??

no I'm talking about the first two, but the last pic, on the TB, I dont know where those 3 lines go either? the middle one goes to my boost guage, and the two on the left are looped to each other just for now...they say A1 and A2....and then the one on the right is a bigger hose.... lemme go check if theres a line off the BOV...

is the pcv on the back left of the valve cover already hooked to the IM?
if so the next line over should go to the BOV....then the last smaller one should go to the fuel pressure solenoid which is off to the right side of the IM but not on it....

yes the first one is going to valve cover....then next over is going nowhere...so if that goes to BOV where does the line, I took a pic of go to, right off the turbo...because right now thats going to the BOV?

it is currently going to the wastegate actuator which tells the turbo's internal wastegate to open based on pressure coming from the intake manifold.

so you basically have to put a "T" connector on that line between the BOV and wastegate actu. and then run the extra line back to the intake manifold.

Ok cool got one of them figured out thanks alot, now that little one next to it goes to the fuel pressure soleniod? neone have a pic or something I tried looking to the right of the IM but got lost....

Also are those lines on the TB or just for emissions and I dont need them??
