Just curious what project we have going on here in the Portland area. I have been thinking of trying to get a mini work meet together. Maybe on the first nice day we all should get together and do some wrenching. It is always nice to have help and extra hands on these projects. So let me know what you have going on. Maybe we can all ban together and help each other get ready for a great summer of racing, meets, and just cruising. I have good amount of knowledge on 1g's. And I know there is a lot more experience out there too. I would be willing to host it, but my room is limited. Not too bad though. Post up your thoughts and ideas. I look forward to meeting more people and helping us have the best summer ever. Even if it is help doing oil changes, that is fine.

I know a lot of the Mazda guys have install days. It usually ends up that a couple people do all the wrenching while the guys who didnt dress for the occassion sit back and booz up.

That shouldnt be the case, since Im sure we're all accustomed to getting dirty, I dont even leave the house anymore wearing clothes I cant get dirty

Kidding.

Its a generous offer, for sure.

I have a decent project going on right now, but I have a few local buddies who are here to help when I need it.

With the way dsm's are I would think that most of us get dirty with the work. I dont mind helping if the person doesn't know how to. As long as they help. You probably know Paul then. He is out your way and plays with them everyday.

I dont know Paul. Im pretty new to the Mitsu stuff and dont really know anyone around here with them, except Ryan (frostone).

Then you need to know him. He will be a big help when in need of parts. He is Evil94evo on here. He has helped me a lot when it comes to parts. He is also known as The DSM Guy.

We both live in Brush Prairie, which is pretty small, hes got to be only a few minutes from my house.

If you are talking about mine then great. But you never qouted so not sure who you talking to. We got a new distributor(wholesaler) and we now are getting a crazy deal on PTE turbos. I think I will be getting one of their DBB turbos for our track car.

frostone, still waiting on the motor and tranny. Should be any day now. I got most of the car back together, still have some wiring to finish up. ECMLink should be here any day now, too. Need to get my rear windows resealed, they were leaking and causing the car to fog up really bad on wet days. Ordered a new radiator today. Still waiting on my Prothane mount inserts and Forge BPV. Im hoping that once I get the motor, itll be a matter of droppping it back in and driving off so that there isnt anything else I need to put back together.

Its crazy how far this car has came since I bought it back in November, it was stock! There was a time where I was saying that I was slowly going to build it over the next few years

JN, so in the future when Im looking to upgrade, you can hook me up with a sweet deal on a PTE turbo, yeah?

That is true Paul does play with DSM's every day . I was at his place several weeks ago and he has a collection. He had 10+ DSM's that he was parting out. he just got a 92 tsi awd in with a blown headgasket.

I cant believe I missed this post!! We could do a big install day at my place if everyone wants.... I'm kinda a redneck and have DSM shit scattered everywhere... But I have a portable gas powered compressor and a couple welders!

And 4th stroke.... WTF. we both live in BP and you havn't said hi???? I now have 3 galants. a vr4 wrecked, a gsx shell and a driving white vr4 thats my personal ride. it has ### 17" wheels with nice bfg gforce tires and is pretty low. I'm sure you'll see me around...

Anyone know who bought my old black gvr4? Wish I still had that one.

I would be down for an install day. Getting a bunch of DSMer's together for some work/fun sounds like a good time. I don't have any parts right now to install, but I would gladly help out others. Maybe some beer/food to go along

I havent seen a black VR4 around. I dont think Ive even seen your white VR4.

My buddy just picked up Jakes TSi (hes Zachs [from English] brother), hes plannin on stoppin by sometime this coming weekend to stock up on parts. Jake rearended someone so he need a radiator, core support, hood, bumper, piping, that sort of stuff. Im going to try to go with them.

English picked up my motor from Sommers yesterday, so I might have the motor back by the end of friday, but Im thinkin more like monday or tuesday by the way things have been going.

Did he use a core motor that he had at the shop? Or was it your actual motor rebuilt? He's bought a few cores from me before for people who want super fast turn times.

It was my own motor. Its been down for almost 6 weeks now.
