Hey guys ive been looking around for shops in the omaha area and keep coming up with Sublime. Ive done my research about them and would prefer not to use them.

I was wondering if any of you have any shops you guys would recommend.

I'm willing to go to Kansas City, Des Moines, anywhere in that 200mi circle of omaha.

Im looking for a place to install my exhaust, headers, test pipes and do a tune for me.

I noticed that a couple guys reccomend 3d motorsports. just wondering your guys' experience with them. its a good sign that they dont have anything on ripoff reports or bbb.

thanks guys

*EDIT* And yes i know i have a Z but most of the forums ive searched on have said "do it yourself" if i had the time i would... i did a google search and you guys came up. so any help would be greatly appreciated

i don't have any recommendations, but definitely don't use sublime.

they couldn't even get the timing right on my civics Z6 turbo vitara build, and told me i needed to replace my engine harness when I'd just bought one off a previously running car in known good condition. they are worthless IMO.

welcome to the site though.

I'm not sure if you've tuned your car yet, but 3D motorsports is the place to go locally. He can get a good street tune on your car. Chad's nickname is "DSM Jesus," if that says anything of his knowledge.

I can vouch for Chad at 3D as well, dude knows his stuff and is just generally a good person. He let me store my 99 GST there waiting for an engine for a couple weeks, checked the engine out that I purchased when it was delivered and made sure everything was legit, did the 6 bolt swap, and I didn't have any problems with it. I've sold the vehicle but last I heard from the buyer it was pushing 300 HP with no problems whatsoever. Chad replaced any needed parts during the swap, T-belt, water pump, pulleys, etc.

Does Chad tune with ECMlink?

Yup he does.

Have you tried tuning it yourself? I'm a noob to tuning and got a pretty good feel for it when I first started messing with it. If you have any concerns just post a log under the Tuning & Engine Management section on here or join the DSMLink forum (if you havn't already) to help you out with your log(s). :thumb:

I'm thinking about making the switch to E85 this winter and I'm not really sure how to get that tuned. Once I make the swtich I will post a log on here and see if I can get some feed back from you guys.

Thanks

Check out the ECMlink Wiki they have everything you need to get started (How to dial in your injectors for e85 & etc). Good luck :thumb:

Mike at sublime is a good guy. He knows his Stuf. People say they suck because they don't want to pay to get it done RITE.

But for any thing Nissan and Dsm Ide go to chad at 3d. He was a tech at Nissan for a long time and a Dsm master. And a good guy that will help any one.

Yeah i don't hold much faith in that. I paid over $100 for them to tell me i needed to replace and have them rewire a newly purchased wire harness off of another car that was perfectly running, with the exact same setup.

I paid the labor for them to come to that conclusion and got my car out of there. I gave them all receipts for work done (brand new build) and they couldn't figure out that i needed the motor re-timed. Which i even told them the timing was likely off and NEEDED checked due to the setup and fresh build. And that i possibly even needed a different belt due to how much had been removed from the head to help my C:R stay closer to stock.

Complete incompetence in my book.

Also if i recall one of them was trying to argue with me the fact that uberdata wasn't able to tune as well as the hondata unit i sold and was more then likely the cause of my problems, which is complete crap.

Chad at 3D Motorsports in Council Bluffs is the man. He is no BS. He got my GST going again and is nothing but honest and fair with everything. He has definitely earned the title DSM Jesus by me.
