Thumbs up DSM caravan to STYFU BBQ meet

What's cracking everyone, well I just wanted to post up for a list of those that wanted to meet up and caravan to the STYFU meet coming up. Just wanted to get a list started. Also what time did you guys all want to meet up?

Like I had posted in the Union City March meet we could do two mini caravans and possibly meet in Oakland as one big group so we could all roll out to Alameda together. I was thinking that the guys from the San Francisco area could meet up in a location near their area and roll out to Oakland.

I think that the people coming from Milpitas and San Jose could come and meet with us in Union City since it would be on the way up to the meet anyways.

I would ask the people from Castro Valley to come meet in UC as well, but I think that would be backtracking for them, so I wanted to see if you guys wanted to come meet with the rest of us in Oakland since it would be on the way for you.

The location I was thinking we could do our big caravan from was the Walmart off of Edgewater St (Exit Hagenberger) and roll out to Alameda from there. I think all we would have to do is take the Webster Tunnel and that should feed us out to the Alameda Naval Base.

Also what time did everyone want to meet up at? I know the event starts at 1 in Alameda, so what time do you all want to try and shoot for on the big caravan? I'm gonna try and PM everyone in the East Bay area to see what time they wanted to do the mini caravan, so I take it that the SF guys would be able to setup their mini caravan and get back to us so that we could coordinate the big meet.

Just let me know what time you guys think we should shoot to meet for in Oakland. Thank you all in advance and I look forward to hearing from all of you. Peace out for now

I'd say 1130 or 12 would be a good time to meet there. Give some of the guys enough time to show up if they're running slow. It's fairly close to the freeway so we don't have to worry about being on Oakland street for too long.

Hi guys. I'm new here and this sounds fun. I live in Davis but originally from Pleasant Hill(Concord-ish). I'll be heading down to pick up my brother in Hayward because he wants to come along. Though, I don't know these areas very well, so let me know where to meet up.

Okay so my guess is that we'll meet at union city around 1030 to 11 for the people coming from the the south bay to Hayward. Then we'll head out to Oakland and hook up with the guys from SF and Castro Valley at around 11:30 to 12.

Oh to NeoGohan, let me know what freeways you were planning to take so we can figure out the shortest route for you bro, aight

Dave and I are definitely down, as are you from my understanding, that's 3 so far. Maybe we can meet at the same parking lot I took photos at @ the last rainy meet? The second location next to Sunset Blvd that is. That's all I can really think of.

Well, my brother lives couple blocks from CSU East Bay, along that steep hill towards the campus. And we'll leave from there. Where are people meeting up? Still confused on where I should go before heading to meet up with the SF group.

Thumbs up

NeoGohan if you are gonna be in that area, it would probably be best if you just hooked up with the caravan in Oakland where the SF and South Bay are gonna meet.

Pekkle I'll make sure to map out everything tommorow. Hope that's okay man.

Mark, yeah it looks like we'll be meeting at Krispy Kreme around 1030 to 11 before heading to Oakland for the big caravan meet

Everyone, I promise to map everything out tommorow. It might be a big post, so PM me if I miss anything aight. Peace out everyone for now

***********UPDATE*********

In light of today's meeting with the fire Marshall, we are given a new set of regulations that we need to meet. We are told today that we need to submit a floor plan for approval, which includes walkways with 20feet room on all isles so that the fire truck can get in and out easily. These things are done with safety in mind, and that all attendees will be able to make it out safely in the event of an emergency and for evacuation purposes. They proposed that if it does rain, the cars would be wet, the ground would be wet, and if someone slips and falls and gets hurt, the fire trucks and EMT needs easy access to come to aid. Further, it would be virtually impossible to bar-b-que in the rain.

With theses conditions, we will be postponing this event. We are trying to get feedback from all of the online communities to determine which dates would be best. We are thinking of APRIL 11th, 18th, 25th, or May 2nd.. We do not want to conflict with the time attack on the 28th of this month, or HIN on The 4th of April, nor Blacktrax's Dyno Day and Evo Empire's BBQ Meet on April 18th.. With this decision to postpone the event, it will also give all of the motorcycles attending the event a safe ride without having to worry about rainy conditions. Furthermore, with the hangar already packed with those who reserved spots inside; it will also give the attendees who are looking to show their cars outside in the parking lot, better conditions. We highly doubt that everyone would be ecstatic about showing and waking around in the rain.

We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences in schedules, but we do want to please the majority of those who are attending. It would suck to have such a beautiful location, and not be able to utilize the scenery, and all the things that the naval base has to offer.

Please contact us at SYTFU.INC@GMAIL.COM if you guys have any questions or concerns.

We appreciate your patience and understanding!

-SYTFU
