I applied for my permit and theres a record on my name about FTA and FTP (failure to appear and failure to pay) I know me and my dad went to court and paid my fine but why is it still on my record? This was way back in '06.

Theres a number on here but every time I call, it goes to a voice mail and asking me to leave a name and number and a decription. I did those a couple of times already but I never recieved a call from them.

I need help clearing this out ASAP. Any help, suggestion would be great. Any one here work for Santa Clara Probation Department?

My wife just went through the same thing. You need to go to the courthouse, get a copy of the clearance letter showing you paid, fax or mail it to the dmv, and wait for them to send you another clearance to take to you local office. Not sure about the FTA though.

Okay, little update.

Me and my dad went to the probation department today. We waited an hour and a half before we got called in, then we asked why I had a record for FTA and FTP, then they said late payment! 10 mins. later, paid the 10 buck for the late payment and now I can go get my permit on monday.

EDIT: I just gotta wait 7 day's before they clear out my record and im off to the dmv.

I got my car smogged and registered today. YAY
