Whadup Kris, about time you made it here. Not everyone is flakey, majority don't like to drive far and prefer to have the meets 5 miles away from their house and if is more than that they won't drive at all (Sorry I say it how it is). Some of us don't really care though, a group goes to infineon like Danny said and Stinson beach is coming up so thats a good meet to go.

Yea I saw Sean tuning it the other day, my car is running koo. Need to fix my cold map setting but other than that is koo. I want to have a race gas setup eventually

Thinking about going to infineon this wed, we'll see.. oh yeah, you wouldn't happen to have a spare 2g radiator cap?

nope, ive never owned a 2g. i plan to very soon though. looking at a 97 tsi awd to toss my spare 6 bolt in. what kinda power you puttin down now?

haha how about your car? I'm trying to figure out if I can run ECU+, 660's, and a Aeromotive FPR on top of my current mods and still pass with a stock exhaust. I'm missing those parts and I'm power hungry. I got Luis's old 18g in my car and I'm only boosting 12lbs.

my car will "pass". but im sure your car can pass with a stock exhaust on it, as long as it is tuned correctly. make sure your fuel trims are good and your cat is in good condition

Welcome Brah! I passed smog just recently with my tubular manifold on and greddy type s bov on but I have to show the technitian the carb number. Stinson meet usually the first saturday of july. See you all there.

Looking forward to that meet. Hopefully I'll be able to show up . As far as tuning, what do you guys think about ECU+?

if you want to be a self tuner, i say go with dsmlink. you'll get awesome support through the vendor as well as the other users. if you want to do a budget setup, you could always burn chips for the ecu. but seeing as you have a 95, which if i remember correctly means you have eprom, go find a used dsmlink for $4-450 and you're set for almost forever. unless you plan to go BIGGGGGGG

I guess i'll go with that. the only thing I was worried about with the dsmlink was how i was going to smog with it hooked up. i can't unplug it and then smog can i? That was the thing that was swaying me toward ecu+. It's able to be unplugged if you get the plug and play version.

There is no need to unplug dsmlink for smog. The ODBII port will still function and the smog techs won't even know it's there.
