I have an E316G and planning on using E85 + meth, i know alot of people say is overkill but that people had never tried it. :toobad:

anyone that have done this in here? i have seen it in an evo and A 1ST GEN i was thinking in 80% meth and 20% water, since water contaminates e85.

to hold more psi i will buy a custom wastegate from a wiseman in here "jusmx141". :hellyeah:

I was told that running e85 and meth is pointless. You only need one or the other and it works just fine. Meth + 93 octane brings you close to race gas. At least this is what I have heard so don't quote me on it but I hope someone that knows a little more can chime in.

yeah people say that BUT i live in a place were i see 112F temperatures. i have seen cars with both but want to see more.

I ran E85 with methanol injection and no intercooler. Actually it was basically using E85 to idle and in boost it was a methanol motor. I was using a fire suppression nozzle to inject a LOT of methanol. Then I went lean on a 3-4 upshift at 100mph, I don't suggest it.

E85 and meth can work together but isnt really needed unless you are at the limits of e85 which is some crazy power. Meth gives you room on your injector since at WOT you wont need as much fuel with the meth but like stated if you run out of meth or it dont inject for some reason you will melt some shit like the guy above. I wouldnt do it unless you already have the meth kit. Its not worth buying you can use that money on other supporting mods.

I already have a meth kit, E85 setup, and the supporting mods so thats why i asked, im not gonna sell my meth kit.

why not just buy e98? honestly i dont see why you would need it but i guess it wouldnt hurt to put it on. If youre trying to get cold intake temps just get a water/air LOL.

E98 can't be had from the pump...

I run E85 without an intercooler and twin M15's of Meth and it's awesome. The best benefit is that you can trim out a TON of injector and get back to where you'd be on gas. I had to trim literally 30% out with the twin Meth nozzles FWIW. But keep in mind that since you're using this amount of Meth you need to run the AF/R fatter, I'm around 10.4 AF/R instead of 11.0 AFR due to this.

Then by ditching the FMIC you save a ton of $$, spool up is AWESOME and you extend the compressor map by usually 3-5 psi without the FMIC core in the way.

Danl, you're getting at not running that much Meth through inadequate nozzles correct not to do this all together?

You are not using the methanol for cooling or raise of octane, you are using it as a type of fuel right? :hmm:

You gain cooling, spool up and less injector DC the way I'm running it.

Twin M15's implies not as a base fuel but injection.

I'm thinking the OP is simply wanting to run it for the added cooling. Everyone knows the cooler your intake charge is then the more power you will make. I say try it out, it CAN'T not make more power or hurt anything. Cooler temps are cooler temps.

Do it, I plan to.
