im installing a direct port setup pretty soon, and i just want to make sure i have all the ducks in a row....

setup: crower rods, ross pistons (8.5:1) .020 overbore 6 bolt.....

head.. hks 272's, ferra 1mm oversized valves, crower springs/retainers... healthy port job....

turbo...fp3065 fmic. fuel.. sx pump, ss braided -8an lines 710cc injectors.

what would be the recommended plug temp?

and safe hp jump from the nitrous?

I use BR8ES on the bottle and BPR7ES for everyday driving. Notice there is no 'p' in the first plug #. NX recommends to not use plugs with protruded electrode with n2o.

Before you think about NO2 what engine management are you running? How much boost? What size shot are you planning on running. How are you going to set up your solenoids for tuning on/off.

boost is gonna vary depeding on what i am doing. street.. low boost.. 15- 20 psi race around the magic 30 number

as far as shot size, gonna start really small and work up...

and i am looking into the nx maximizer for controlling the nitrous. using the ramp to be easier on my drivetrain.

aem ems is engine management along with wideband o2 and electronic boost control

I would just set it up to come on when you fully disengauge the clutch and you are at wide open throttle. This way your nitrous will cut inbetween shifts and whenever you press the clutch or let off the throttle. I wouldn't bother running no2 with pump gas on your low boost. I would start with a 50 shot. Whos tuning your car???????? Do they know about timing with that amout of boost and no2???????????

thanks.... although i dont know how to pull off a 50 shot with direct port.... lowest jets i have is 35 hp per cylnder i think.. i will have to check again though

It's very difficult to get any less than 15hp per cylinder. (You'd end up with a fuel jetting that is too small to be manufactured consistently - which is why they don't make it.)

Zex makes that filter that's only like 35hp. I wouldn't use it on a turbo though.

Ok then start off with like a 60shot-70shot whatever the smallest is that you can run.

Know your shit when it comes to timing or you will be unhappy.

good luck

I wouldn't use that on anything other than a honda, because who cares if they blow up. (Kidding.. Or am I?). The filter system doesn't work so well because the air flow sensor can't take into account the increased power available from the N2O.

In any case, we are talking about a direct port system, not a single injection point nozzle.
