Hey guys, I'm planning on building my talon this winter for an all nitrous motor pretty much. I wanted to do a big shot with a driect port system, and to do that I was gonna run a seperate fuel system with race gas for when I sprayed...any one have any opinions on any of this??

That sounds good. Just make sure when you order pistons (Wiseco is a good suggestion) tell them your spraying nitrous and they will make the pistons extra thick and move the ring lands down so you can spray a lot and not have problems with the pistons because of high cylinder pressure. Nitrous creates a lot more cylinder pressure than a turbo does so your pistons need to be a lot tougher because of it.

What are you planning to do for traction? Which clutch have you selected?

I'm still not sure on the clutch yet but that's one of the reason's I posted this....I want something somewhat streetable but can handle the power....I plan on running slicks for that track...I'm gonna call TRE later this week and talk to them about building up the tranny....any suggetions would help greatfully, thanks

I was also wondering how much I could spray into the motor before blowing it up....I was looking at maybe a 200-250 shot with the driect port and if it can handle more then a 100 or so shot in the intake.....??

Direct port is nice and will work for 100hp and up shots well. Single nossle in the intake is good upto 250hp and I have personally sprayed 200hp on single nossle with no problems. Your limited at 80hp as your minimum shot with direct port which is small enough that it's not that big a deal but some guys worry about starting with that small a shot. Single nossle minimum on some kits is 35hp which is nice to spray to start.

If your building a nitrous car then go direct port for sure, it's the best setup with the most control, besides it looks bad ass too. If your only going to run upto 100hp - 125hph shot then do yourself a favor and just get a single nossle wet kit as it's plenty for that hp level. It's easier to instsall, easier to hide and easier to remove down the road.

If your building a motor for nitrous then the obvious answer is direct port.

Well I was thinking running two kits...Direct port and single nozzle....but now I'm thinking about using the single nozzle for street and so on...and of course the direct port with race gas at the track...I was also wondering what compression to go with....I was thinking about 10:1 but with that much nitrous should I get a lower compression piston?
