I once built a custom nitrous kit out of popsicle sticks and cherios. I only picked up 2 tenths though...

Yo Yo dawg I once used an avocado, an ice pick and my snorkel. I use to spray mad NAWS yo I'm a straight v8 killa. But seriously if you cant pony up the 500 or so for a kit just stop with the car mods now cause its only going to get more expensive.

Aslan if you swap out your cheerios for fruit loops you can match the colors with your custom hose kit and sticker tuning and you would pick up another 2 tenths easy

DOH!!! And here I am claiming to be 'oh knowledgeable one' on nitrous kits. You just done took me to school.

But for real, to the guy looking to make a 'custom' kit. There comes a time when even DSM'ers must do things the right way. Don't look for the cheapest way out EVERY time. It will come back to bite you but hard. Save your dough, stop buying clear tailights and neon and stickers and strange looking body cladding and before you know it, you will have saved enough to buy a nitrous kit, do it the right way, and have a good experience with it. Just food for thought, hope I sugar coated that enough.

You will be glad you did. What kind of car is the kit going to be for? I'd be more than happy to help you out with jet sizing and what type of kit is best for your application so you know what to start saving for. Let me know.

I would say start out with a 50 shot dry, and work your way up from there. Upgrade the fuel pump to perhap a stock turbo model, and get some gauges to monitor what's going on. Good luck.
