my eclipse is running 15psi.. i want to know what is a safe amount of boost to run until its tuned. i have a friend with an eclipse completely stock.. all he did was get a boost gauge an manual boost controller and turned the boost to 20psi.. an hes been running like that for months now. i was just wondering since i have a good amount of mods will i be able to turn my boost to 20psi an be safe... or is it not a good idea.

T25 can only flow so much at an efficient rate. At 20 psi all you're doing with your stock t25 is blowing hot air. It will run better if being ran off wastegate pressure which is around 10-11 psi or you can bump it up a notch and set it at 15 psi.
Regardless, it will spike any given amount of boost level you set in and just come back down to 10-11, it's just the way the turbo was designed, it's not the best.

thanks man... will it do any harm to the motor?

At 20 psi i doubt it. It's a tiny turbo and it can only push so much air to get close to even damaging it.
It's like running a 16g at 14 psi, it will be fine and pull good.
Just remember what i told you, watch it spike 20 and go back down to 10-11 psi. I say just leave it at wastegate pressure or at 15 psi.
I beat my friend's 97 tsi awd by a small margin when we were both t25 with him having a few more bolt ons than me and running 18 psi while i was all stock on the smic and just 10 psi.

As long as you have proper amount of fuel, it should be fien. Just watch for it leaning out
