Is there a way if I can tell my Talon has the LSD?

Or you could look on the pumpkin's sticker. Says LSD on it if it is LSD.

Slang for the rear diff. Look under the rear of your car at the rear differential and there should be a silver sticker on it, facing slightly to the driver's side if I recall correctly. I think it will say BHP "3.454" or something like that and below that "LSD".

Might say on your door jam sticker as well.

block your front wheels
jack rear end of car up (wheels off ground)
slap her in neutral
turn one wheel by hand if the other one spins with it in the same direction, ya got LSD
if it turns the opposite way, you have an open diff.

Mine has a sticker inside the door on the drivers side its orange and it says this vehicle is equiped with a lsd blah blah blah, and also look at your transfer case, mine says vivacious lsd (not 100% on the v word )

I think the word you're ^ looking for is viscous. As in the T Case is a viscous clutch type.

And Steve, I'm not so sure that your method would work. Because LSDs act like normal diffs under normal driving. So at a standstill, the LSD clutches would not be engaged. Torque must be applied to the diff and one wheel must be still and the other spinning for the LSD to lock... Isn't that right?

Dude, I'm not stupid. I'm currently 200 miles away from my Talon right now and was wondering if there was any stickers or simple ways to tell if it had one. That way I could tell my brother to look.

i have a 95 tsi. i have a silver sticker on the rearward facing side of my diff thatclearly states lsd.
