stock ignition

When is the stock ignition just NOT enough. I am really new to tuning by myself and I am having some problems running boost levels about 20 PSI on my set up. I have decent O2's and egt's and at high RPM's at 20 or above PSI I get popping and knock. I am currently running accel 10mm wires and BPR7es plugs gapped to .028.

Seemed fine n the old BIG16G but now the door to tuning a bigger turbo is kicking my butt.

I would like to get input on when would be the time to upgrade to a after market ignition system like MSD.

I have seen 460whp on stock plug wires.
I think 520 is supposed to be the limit. Never heard anything about anyone having a problem with their ignition not being enough.

I want to resurect this because no matter what I do, I am still having this popping on occasion. To me it feels like a miss.

Why do people use the DIS2 if the stock is enough?

I would say go for it. The DIS2 I am making reference too. I just know that a nice crisp ignition can mean alot to the tuning key for people in the performance industry.

It is not like a small/big block but the timing ignition balance is still very well needed on any performance oriented car. I am running 20psi on my 20g with no problem, but every car has its own mind.
