If you haven't tried changing your knock sensor (1G), be prepared to throw things. It's very difficult to get to. My arms are pretty raw right now. There's a ton of little tiny hose clamps that have a way of cutting into your wrists and forearms.
I took out the battery to get to it easier, but didn't take off the intake manifold bracket. Though that may have made it more difficult, that bracket wasn't very easy to get off itself. The sensor has a 15/16 nut, but it's almost impossible to get at with an open end wrench, as it was too long, and too many things were in the way to get it to turn. If you have a stubby set of wrenches, you'll be fine. I ended up using a shorter crescent wrench (wish I would have tried it much earlier).
I would have taken pictures, but you can't really see anything. It's all hidden underneath the intake manifold and you have to do most of it by feel. I actually shoved a little 4x3 inch mirror in there to help see if I was getting the wrench on right. It was pretty useful.
Once I was all finished, I took the car for a drive. It seemed to have cured my constant knock problem, but we'll see. I'll log it today and over the weekend with more driving to see. I hope this takes care of it.
