Hey guys. I'm changing the rear pads on my '92 Tsi. It has ABS and is AWD if that matters. Everything is done, except I can't get the piston in the calipers to screw back in to fit the caliper over the new pads.
The haynes manual said I could use needlenose pliers to twist it and I've even gone and stuck a screwdriver up to the slot to try and hammer it around, but it won't budge. The pistons have surface rust on them so the parts aren't in the best shape, but this is annoying as hell.
Do they HAVE to be twisted or can I use a c-clamp to squeeze them back in? Help me please, I gotta get this finished!
