automatic awd talon will not shift

ok I have a 95 awd talon just bought it and they thought the trans was going out because it will not shift automatically. It will go from 1st 2nd overdrive just not drive. Also they had the mfi relay wired up bypassing a bunch of stuff. Could the mfi have anything to do with trans or would it more likely be the tcu?
I ordered the mfi it will be here Friday.

I got the mfi today and no suprise they sent one for a 94 and cant get one for a 95 anyone know where to get one. The part number is e8t08474 thanks if anyone can help sorry if this is in the wrong place new to the site

your in the right place. its the only place really you are able to post since you still a newbe. im not much of a tranny person but the best I could tell you is to try the MFI. check the local auto stores around you. dealership if you have to. and im pretty sure you can find something in the DSM classified here. hope that helps.
