does anyone know if you can still run factory fans when using the P.R o2 housing with the 38mm dump?
 
What's up Gabe. I think I ran into you at the last DSM meet on 50. I had the silver 2g with the front bumper removed.

As burner said, you can bet money that you will have to either shave down your OEM fan housing or get a quality slim fan (AC side). There are a few options that let you keep both fans, but those are pretty unique setups IMO and require a lot of trial and error ($).
 
You are best to get a spal pusher fan and mount it on the front side of the ac core if you still have room there.
 
Turbo and manifold play a part in fitment too with the variation of both placement and angle. My HX40 in a BEP bolt-on housing with the PR MVS o2 housing gave me very little clearance to the radiator.

Yes ive seen cars with both slim fans and a 38mm gate off the o2 housing but it all depends on the turbo, manifold, and not all 38mm gates are the same size. But stock a/c fan will not fit only a slim has a chance.
 
Sorry, I didn't realize I put the part numbers in wrong. The one had an extra number while the other was missing a number.

Puller is PN 30102038 3.7" thickness
Pusher is PN 30101505 2.48" thickness

By the way, my MVS was black. That's what happens when the anodizing gets super hot.
 
I want to run the PRO2 also but I think with the fans I want to run it is possible to run the double fans. Was thinking about running 2 of these SPAL USA were the fan shroud is only about 1.1 inches thick opposed to yours that is 2 1/4 inches thick. Also long as the wastegate doesnt land were the motor is I should be alright.

And WOW on the color change "only real mean rock pink"
 
What is most important is the CFM total of the fans. The oem fans are about 1600 cfm each. I smaller the fan, the less it will be able to cool through airflow.
