Outflowing 2g maf need help!!!!

Im out flowing my 2G maf, Im making about 3400hz at 30PSI Flowing 52lbs per min airflow... Ok so i have a #482 Montero MAF and From What ive Read the wiring is the same as the #399 Evo 8 MAF, They also Flow the same...

Does anyone have the EVO 8 MAF to 2G harness Diagram?

The evo/montero/3g maf all wire the same as a 2g. All you do is just line up the wires from your 2g maf harness over to the new evo/montero/3g maf pigtail. I also believe the pigtail is the same color code as a 2g.

Either this or stop using a pre-turbo MAF. Seems like it's time for a GM MAF or SD.

But like TSiJohn said, the wires are in the same order, just with a different connector. You need the connector for the 3g MAF and then wire it into the DSM harness. Just swap one wire at a time.

Just for confirmation my RRE book notes on page 65 that the EVO 8/9 MAF's are the same pinouts as a 2G MAF, although they have a different size/shape connector body. Also noted is that these MAF's can measure up to 50% more air than a 2G, so tune accordingly.

Well we have been considering switching to sd, and unfortunately all we have is v3 lite so we cannot Maf

Gotcha. Well then the Evo VIII MAS is the answer for sure- meters airflow to 65lb/min (GT35R realm).

Thanks guys... Went from turning 3400hz at wot on the 2g Maf to turning 2400hz on the Evo 8 Maf
... There is a lot left in this Maf! Link claims I gained 20hp from the swap I went from 461hp at wot to 481awhp! And 350ft lbs! Going to import showdown this weekend hope to bust some low 11s!

That screen shot isn't showing me that much at a glance...

But I'm wondering how you have things setup Looks like a boost leak to me... . Doubt your really flowing that much seems like your just pulling back a bunch of fuel from a boost leak.

Curious to a log of that and the tune betting you have some odd setting in there that would explain that high of airflow signal...
