97 CAS with a 95 ecu

Now I know this is compatible via ECMlink but I do not intend on buying link for another month or two. I'm mainly just trying to get the car running but I'm not quite clear if just moving my plug wires will actually provide the results I'm looking for. I've searched quite a bit but with no real answer. any help?
 
It will run okay with just the plug wires swapped, but the injectors won't trigger at proper time, so you may get hesitation and misfiring and/or the random misfire DTC. If you want to fix it 100% the first time, the best way is to build the infamous signal inverter.

Your other option is swapping the injector pins at the ECU like we do on a 2Ga ECU when going from the 2Ga CAS to any other CAS, but again, you'll run the P0300 gauntlet. That is, unless you have ECMLink and can simply "check the box" to invert the cam sensor signal.

Green: Pin 1 is now 14
Green w/ yellow stripe: Pin 2, is now Pin 1
Green w/ red stripe: Pin 15, is now Pin 2
Yellow w/ black stripe: Pin 14 is now Pin 15

Thanks man. Would the easier route simply be just placing the 95 head on the 97 bottom end and calling it a day. Or possibly managing to get the 95 CAS to work on the 97 head. I believe i read somewhere on here it has the grooves to hold the actual sensor near the cam gear.
