Does anybody have a comparison picture of a 6 bolt & 7 bolt crankshaft plate? I know they're different, and I'm not positive on what I have, I'll post a pic of what I have if it helps.

thanks alot for the quick reply, it looks like I deffinatley have a 1G crankshaft plate, but I can't tell if there's differences between the 1G 6 bolt and 1G 7 bolt plates?

This is for a 6 bolt block

Note the position of the timing notches on the outer rim of the plate with respect to the position of the notch for the key on the crankshaft. They are clearly different.

The pictures show that the 6-bolt is closer to 180 degrees between the notches; the 7-bolt is roughly 60 degrees.

Edit: In case the pictures in the links above go down, here is a 2G 7-bolt plate vs. a 6-bolt plate. A 1G 7-bolt plate will look, overall, like the 6-bolt plate but will have the notches encircled in the same positions as the 2G 7-bolt plate. As plainly as possible, it will not have the "flaps" for the crank sensor, it will be a simple round plate like the 6-bolt.

This picture shows each plate’s face as if it were installed on the engine. The center notch for the key will need to align the piece on the crankshaft so the orientation will be different than shown. But it is this face ‘out’.

Also, an installation note. Do not put this thing on backwards! The plate will cup the crankshaft sprocket, meaning that the portion with the inner notch will be farther from the engine block than the outer portion with the timing mark.
