Hey guys Ill make this short and sweet my T25 is making noise at full boost its a stock turbo with 120k on it. I was just going to put a stock t25 replacement but i plan to upgrade anyway, I found out for 50 bucks more I can get a 16g. Will it bolt right on where my t25 used to be? Will i need anything else right away for the bigger turbo? The seller claims it will fit. Here is the link

Do NOT buy that hunk of junk. It's a knock off turbo which is like playing Russian Roulette with your motor.

A 16g will bolt on but modifications need to be done. You need a J-pipe, alter your lower IC pipe to fit onto the pipe, your oil return line will either need changed or you can modify your stock piece to fit. That's all there really is to it.

If you are going with a 16g, search the classifieds first, contact JusMX141 to see if he has any rebuilt ones, lastly go to a vendor to buy a real MHI 16g.

ya that's kinda what I thought i knew it was cheap for a reason, as far as my budget goes 200 bucks is what i got to play with, id rather have something i can just bolt on and not have to mod to much. but wanna try and get away from that T25

Well the only direct bolt on for a t25 is another t25 or the fp big t28..But if 200 is your budget I'm gonna suggest finding a rebuilt t25, untill you can save up the money for an upgrade..

JusMX141 might have a couple rebuilt t25's
sitting around..
14b's and 16g's can be cheap used but require modification to make work..

For your price range 14b/16g would work. Think of it this way, although it will take you a bit more time to do the 16g install kit, afterwards, you can swap for 14bs and 16g/18g/20g without any issues. As is, the Big T28 is the only bolt on and cost close to 900 new or around 400$ used. Rebuilding your t25 is your cheapest route though.

dont get me wrong i can handle some modification i did my own hub assembly after all i just wanna make a 3 hour job into a 6 hour job

We based not on your Skills, We based no the Budget.

With $200 budget, will only be able to buy the KIT,
Or you will only be able to buy the Turbo.

So, your better bet is to go with the T25, or wait and get some more $ so you can be able to spend on the Kit and get a 16g.;)

The only thing he actually has to buy is a j pipe and various gaskets and a feed line, you don't NEED an install kit.

The Return Oil line will not fit on the 16g.

He also needs the Oil feed line fitting to the 16g.

I thought he can get all that with a $200 Budget. :nono:

Actually a 2g oil return will fit; you just need to slot the holes on the turbo side of the line since the bolt holes are closer together on a 16g than on the t25. Takes maybe 1 minute to do with a carbide bit.

so basically...if i wanna upgrade ill need the kit with all the fittings unless i wanna "do it myself" make oil work (not happening)...so ya I guess you guys convinced me ...ill stick with the t25 for now.. how much hp can i squeeze out of it?

Aside from the bench racing, you will no want to go much higher than 16psi or so on the T25. You are limited to fuel/tuning (since you have none, you have to stay at stock levels). After that, you are then affected by it's very low efficiency range before it's just blowing hot air, overwork, and slowly being damaged.

Anytime you turn up the boost you should be logging to ensure your motor is still healthy by not knocking, not running too rich or too lean, and still having good ignition timing.

On a stock fuel setup, you can turn the boost up to 15psi on the T25 and still have some injector play, but very little.

ok so should i upgrade fuel (pump injectors) or ECU 1st?

All at once would be your best move..Pump, injectors, ecu, aftermarket fuel pressure regulator..

You have a 95 so if you take your ecu out, it might have an eprom chip in in..That means you can hit up these guys ECMTuning, Inc. And have your ecu socketed and use that to tune..That's what most of us would reccomend for a tuning solution..

Ya i looked at those guys already I like the setup but why not just buy the whole setup? the v300 think its called?

ECMLink (v3) is an excellent tuning solution incorporating a tuner and logger in 1.

As for your question, you need a tuning device before you can throw on larger injectors.

i put a 14b on my car without a install kit. i had all the 1g stuff though. Used a steel braided oil fee line, 1g oil drain, 2g coolant lines had to bend a bit to line up perfect and i had a j pipe from my fmic. Might i add the 14b holds boost much nicer aswell.
