Question 1. Yes, you remove the stock Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) to install and Manual Boost Controller (MBC). Here is the best way to install a MBC: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/237982-best-way-install-mbc.html

Question 2. Bypassing the BCS and MBC is called running wastegate pressure. So whenever the wategate opens, thats all the boost you are getting. As far as if it is an increase or how much of an increase, that depends on your wastegate and could vary.

Also if you are raising you boost, or modifying your car in anyway, please buy a boost gauge, the factory boost gauge is just an estimate by the ECU, it doesn't actually measure your boost pressure.

Hope this helps!

If you run a line right from the compressor to the wastegate you will run a slightly lower boost level than stock. To install a MBC, you run a line from your compressor (or j-pipe) to the MBC, then a line from the MBC to the wastegate. It eliminates the BCS from the whole system completely.

but now i getting 2 answer 1 i will lose boost another it up to the wastegate weather i will gane or lose
boost sooo hmm guess i can always try

another Q when i do this will i get a chack engin light

I have no idea what you just tried to type out.

Wastegate should have as short of a line as possible as close to the boost source. The blow off valve should also be on it's own line with nothing teed into it either.

He didn't say you would gain boost for sure, he said it depends on the nature of your wastegate actuator. I'm saying if anything happens you will probably lose 1 to 2 psi or so. Either way, it's not going to net a noticable difference in power, so it's not even worth messing with unless you get a MBC. In the event that you do impulse buy a MBC, you don't want to raise the boost anywhere past 15 psi at all unless you have something to log and tune with and all the other supporting mods that go with raising boost levels.

If you do bypass the BCS by either running wastegate pressure or installing a MBC, then you need to leave the BCS plugged in, which will prevent the ECU from throwing a CEL.

Try and write more coherent posts, it will allow people to answer your questions more effectively.

That is correct.

Read my post again. Here it is for your connivence.

If you buy a MBC (cheap and very effective) you NEED a boost gauge and a pod. Please do this together, if you cannot monitor your boost you could turn it up too high and hit fuel cut or worse.
As for the line to the WGA, don't do this as you will only run wastegate pressure and you will be sorely disappointed. Spend the money on a MBC and a boost gauge, you will be happy and it shouldn't set you back more than $250 at most.
Good info on the MBC install link, thanks clipse.

Less then that:
Hallman ES $55 Hallman ES Boost Controller - Modern Automotive Performance
Autometer 30 in. Hg/30 psi boost gauge $60 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-4303/
Simple gauge pod $3 Sunpro ACP7552 (you can mount this in the center of the steering wheel like this: 1g Interior

Thats a total of $118 for a quality, budget setup.

You got it! :thumb:
