Is this fuel cut? my car under past half throttle cuts out and a cel light lights up, I let off and it goes out after 4 seconds and I can resume driving. Sometimes its so severe the car cuts out completely. I have to hit the console to get the stock boost gauge to turn on when I turn on the ignition. The cel light turns on but the boost gauge wouldnt go half way up like its suppose to until I hit it. i am lost but here is the video of my pull.

How much boost are you running? That seems more like a misfire to me...I don't think fuel cut ever registers a CEL.

I know when my car used to fuel cut, it would just sound like it hit the rev limiter. You could feel the power curve go down and then it would make a loud POP like it hit the rev limiter. I don't think that is fuel cut but as I said, how much boost are you running and what injectors do you have in?
 
it may seem that ## boost level is just a lil to high for the stock maf. if it reads more the airflow of 20lbs i think. not saying im sure. then itll lean out the motor to stop from over boosting. if you ahve your afc installed now then i dont know.
 
Could it be a a boost leak? I know when I Hold boost it fluctuates never a soild number, lets say i set to hold 15psi for instance it goes to 11 to 15 bouncing back and forth at steady accelleration. So I checked my throttle body shaft and i could wiggle it. I Replaced the throttle shaft seals with O-Rings cause one was completeley blown out. So i ovehauled the TB. Its solid now. I will see in the morning If anything changes. In boost level stability next I have to check the upper intercooler inlet for corrosion. mabe overboosting is causing it? at 12 psi to 20 psi it does it. Even did it backing out my parking space LOL I think its in the ECU. seeing how i have to "smack" it to get it to come back on. ?

Update: from last night ok I have my boost set at 15 psi comfortably . so i go out and warm the car up, I then stomp the gas it hiches and the cel light comes on it pulls hard but cuts out. Anyways so I did it agian Stomped it and hit full boost doing 60 then the cel light and the car dies. so I leave the ignition on get my anolog out to check the code. a solid needle, not the swipe swipe swipe like when there is no codes but a soild as indicating solid power. I "smack" it and it proceeds to do the no codes swipes. I am so lost with this. ECU or has anyone ever dealt with something similar?

I am running it a 15psi and have bpr7es installed as of yesterday gapped at .28. I plan on running 18psi if I can ever figure out this mishap

Could a TPS cause my cel light it seems if i go past half throttle it is when it cuts out and the transmission feels like it comes out of gear mind you my car is an AUTOMATIC

Even though you changed the plugs, you can still have a misfire from the coil pack. You don't have a logger?
 
doesnt seem it to me, i had a bad wire (cheap beck ardly's) and it sounded like that....go over your basics
 
Its like the trans kicks out and then the Cut out begins seems like the tcu is causing the trans to pop outta gear and the ecu is using a fail safe to cut it. But what I can't explain is how when I "smack" it the ecu it comes back and runs fine. I have had one successsful pull without any issues this AM so something is either loose inside the ecu or a bad relay of some sort. Improperly adjusted TPS cause any of this? It's just that I give it more than 1/4 pedal and it does this only under certian conditions I'm so fed up with it. maybe somethings loose in the ECU.

Check the caps in the ECU. This can cause lots of problems if they are leaking. They could have corroded part of your board. Steve here on the board can repair it for you if it is damaged.

My Ecu did have leaking caps I Sent it to ECM Tuning recommended by Steve and they found that c38 had a burnt out trace and they repaired it. I just inspected the ECU last night and say where the trace was repaired. Anyways they cleaned my board repaired the trace and put in new caps. I looked the Ecu over to see if there was anything loose or weird I couldn't find a thing, but I'm also not a professional and know what to look for. I ain't stupid either and know what its suppose to look like in there.

Update: Last night I moved my ecu from the compartment and put it on the floor. this is to see if its the relay or the ecu clicking. It stopped doing the cut out for the most part I did 6 savage pulls from 0-60 at 15-16 psi just flooring it. Success! It stopped. I have come to the conclusion its either the ecu harness or the bumps are tripping it. Should the ecu housing be grounded at all times? I just wish this was all over with and I could just drive it and not have to worry about it.

Loose connections at the plugs or a fault in the wiring somewhere. If it stopped when you put it on the floor, one of the wires bent back to where it is touching what it's supposed to.
