I haven't gave my car a tune up but want to do everything myself where should I start n what does a complete tune up consists of or recommended for our cars

Boost leak test it, leak down test it, replace the plugs and wires, replace the timing belt. That's a start. It all depends on the mileage and whether it has documented maintenance in the recent past.

Change oil and oil filter, spark plugs and spark plug wires, change the air filter or clean it if its reusable. I would also change the antifreeze and check out the timing belt vacuum lines and anything else that would get wore out over time. Take the throttle body off and clean it get some throttle body cleaner and spray it down get an old tooth brush and scrub the grime off of it. I'm probably missing things but its a start. I'm sure this is covered so u might want to search before posting..

To add on....replace worn out gaskets, check for exhaust leaks, re-tighten all bolts, clamps, etc. Change fuel filter, run a tank of BG 44K through your fuel system, replace all malfunctioning sensors/solenoids...aka o2 sensors, coolant temp sensor, fuel pressure solenoid etc. That should help you out

Just want to add to this, use a GOOD oil, not the cheap shit. Most of us will recommend mobil one synthetic or royal purple. I use royal purple.
