Easy question need help ASAP!!!

Alright my dads friend, mechanic, says i've got a crack in my head thats leaking oil and causing me to smoke like a b*tch. He over charged me for work and i dont trust him what so ever.

I want to take my car to my friends house who's a DSM mech but i don't want to pay for a tow, he's just right down the street less then a mile.

The question is, Can i drive my car, under the belief i've got a cracked head, around a mile without doing serious damage or should i just pay for a tow? I'm 17 and money is tight

use your insurance, they'll usually tow you about 5 miles

well since the car is smoking a lot and it's only a mile from where you are then, go for it. just add more oil prior to leaving and watch out for the cops. !

i've got insurance tow but its only once a month and i'd rather save it for an emergency

You could push it. Unless its like uphill the whole way. That would suck.

Or just get in it, and go then roll most of the way.

Or just call a friend with a truck and a tow chain and tow it with the chain though I dont know where to hook the chain on these cars with out it ripping the bumper cover off.

all my friends are into hondas and i cant find anyone that is willing to toe my car with thiers
its down a couple streets so i cant push it
