Do they make aftermarket radiators for auto's and if so where can i get them. If not would it be okay to take a manual radiator and just run a bigger trans cooler.

The 2G Auto has a seperate tranny cooler located in front of the ABS unit on the driver's side.
RTM Racing offers a great aluminum rad that I run myself in my 2G AWD Auto.
5 speed or Auto, the radiator is the same.

Not exactly. The oem 2g auto routes the transmission fluid in series through the radiator and threw the external auto transmission cooler.
I have my auto setup with a koyo rad. Just make sure you get a bigger cooler if your going to eliminate the oem cooler that was in the oem radiator. The Long Tru-Cool is what I went with.

Mine isn't routed through the radiator. It's just straight to the trans cooler. That's how mine came stock. The previous owner didn't change it.

. I was thinking I was going to have the same problem finding a radiator because of everyone saying it ran through the radiator, so i bought a B&M supercooler. So I remove the bumper and follow the lines only to find that they go directly to the trans. I still installed the cooler in the drivers side vent only because I'm putting in a FMIC, but VERY relieved that i can use ANY radiator that is available for our cars. Btw, the cooler was only $50 shipped through amazon and a breeze to install, dare I say even a little fun?.. The only thing I had to get was another 5ft ATF hose for the return line.Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but I figured I would post here instead of making a new thread!
I have a 96 GST, I was checking everything recently and noticed that the plastic connection on the radiator to the radiator hose is cracking bad and will soon be gone. Thus, I need a new one!
If I'm reading this correctly, I don't need to worry about buying a new transmission cooling unit as well. I can just purchase Mishimoto Performance Radiator - 2G DSM 95-99#-#DSM Radiator#-#Engine#-#DSM Performance Parts | DSMparts.com
Thanks in advance. Also open to any cheaper options on the radiator if there are suggestions.
Thank you both! So no new fans, electrical, cooler, etc. I can just grab the radiator and swap it out?
