What is this piece?

Does anyone know what / where this piece goes? WTF I wasn't sure were to put it so I posted this in the newbie forum

It has been a while since I pulled my engine / transmission and can't remember where it goes. And I haven't come across it in any of my manuals.

Car is a 1995 eclipse gsx automatic.

Um the engine damper that bolts up to the drivers side engine mount?

It is metal on the bottom and maybe a really hard rubber on the top.

It is a damper for the motor mount and bolts on your motor mount.

I have only seen this piece on one other dsm. I had no idea what it did neither did my friend, but he insisted that he had to leave it there just ecause we had never seen one before.

There's similar things with nissan's autos, like the 350z' have a rubber hung dampened 15lb +- weight hanging inside the drivers side bumper.
