So im converting all my lights to LED, and so im replacing my front turn signal 1157, and my rear turn signal 1156 with LEDs. Im buying the bulbs through the website Super Bright LEDs - LED Products and Accessories. I read up on the LED conversion guide you need an LED Flasher, could some one please go on the website and help me find which ones i need to buy for my front and rear turn signals for my car (1997 Eagle Talon ESI)? I would greatly apprieciate it. Thanks

Your gonna need load resistors if you don't want the LED bulbs flashing annoyingly fast.

You can either get a load resistor or you can get an electronic flasher that is made for LEDs. I'm sure you can find these all over Ebay or you could just Google it. If you really want to get creative, they make them will all sorts of flash patterns. It would give you a little different look. I used to have one on my R6 when I went to integrated lights. Be careful of using LED replacement bulbs on cars, especially if you still have red taillights. If you get the same color LED replacements as the housing it, you tend to lose the brightness and they become very hard to see in daylight unless you are directly in the path of the light from the LED. LEDs do not difuse light very well. Also make sure your replacement LEDs are DOT approved. If you get rear ended and they are aren't, the accident could be deamed as your fault if the other driver says the couldn't see your brake lights. I used to have them and I decided to get rid of them because they were hard to see. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, I just want you to be informed.

Alright i wont do the tail lights LED. However i still need my original question answered what flasher on that site is right for our cars? also will 2357 Bulbs be a brighter tail and brake light?

A flasher is a flasher for the most part. If you go with all LEDs then you should be good with any LED flasher. You may have to wire it yourself though, that will be the downfall. As far as getting a direct replacment, you may have to do some searching.

For the brightness question - Here is my experiance with LEDs. They have a very fixated light output. Much like a lazer. A LED is very intense and bright as long as you are directly in the light path. Getting brighter LEDs won't change the fact they they do not difuse light like a bulb will. The do have some LED bulb replacements that have LEDs mounted all the way around. This will help to provide a less direct light and increase visibility. The end goal of the bulb would be to direct the light against the reflector in the back of the housing so the light can exit throught the housing in many different places giving the illusion that the bulb is actually brighter.

This is what you want - Stylin' Trucks Truck Accessories -- pickup truck, SUV, and custom truck accessories

Also remember that if your housing is colored then you want to get white replace LEDs, if the housing is clear then you want the LED to be the correct color. Ex: Red for Tail/Brake and Amber for Signals (Front)

Hope this helps.

All of the previous posts are quite correct. Not sure on the 2g, but the 1g does use a vehicle specific flasher that does the 4-way too. See your electrical manual, located below radio along with the buzzer.

Am considering modifying both of these but that is positively an electronics bench project as they use surface mount components and one has to deal with the conformal coating mess too. Just got the stripper & coating chemicals last week. Haven't started on a replacement circuit board design yet (good winter project.)

BTW: 1157 draws 2.1A, so use that to calculate the additional load resistors to make the stock flasher work OK. It probably will NOT detect a failed LED lamp if you go that way.
