Hey guys, I have a 1997 Eclipse GS-T. I have run out of fluid, but swear i have never seen a light anywhere come on to let me know....my question is where is the location of the "low washer fluid light" (in dash cluster, near spray button, etc.??) and do all 2G's have this?? Thanks!!!

Bottom right.

I dont believe any DSM had one. Low coolant yes, washer fluid, no. There is no sensor on the bottle, only a pump.

LOL beat me to it. Ok, there IS one, but ive never seen one light up.... maybe its an option for a diff model (Avenger?) or for the Canucks.

I'm actually glad that the foglights light does not illuminate when on. To me that would be annoying.

Hey thanks a million guys!!! Thanks a ton for the pictures too! And "luv2rallye", that's a relief that you brought that up...thank you. I too took out my manual a few hours ago and read that same thing where it says "if so equipped". Now it gets even more interesting, I had some photos of my dash cluster when i had it out a few months back, so i dug them out. There IS a bulb present behind the symbol for the low washer fluid.....BUT....there is also a bulb present behind the ABS symbol....AND MY CAR DOES NOT HAVE ABS LOL!!! So i guess the presence of a bulb does NOT necessarilly mean you have that option...interesting that they were wasteful like that. Now the "low coolant" indicator, which someone said is only present in 1995's and prior DOES have the logo in my car, but no bulb present, just an empty socket....with contacts... LoL.

So anyways, one last question. Does anybody's Low Washer Fluid Light, Cruise Light, Security light, or Low Fuel Light illuminate during the initial "stick key in ignition and turn to on position" test sequence?....because mine do not. The only light that lights initially on the right handside is the damn seatbelt light. All the rest that illuminate during that sequence are on the left side.

Yes they do have one. My 98 gst lit up when I empty the fluid res. It's not that trips me out. It's where the heck do u fill one up. Weird location if you ask me. I just took out they part by the center back trunk to fill it up. If u asked a Honda guy he would of never found it.

Look in the drivers side hatch drain well. There is a black cap there covering the fill tube.

Thanks Brian. I couldn't find it because I just got the car not to long ago. Till this day I have not seen the sucker. What I did was take the plastic inside cover of the trunk by the center light. Remove the ring, pull out the hose to the plastic res and fill it up there!

It's in the drivers side hatch drain area, about 6 inches from the rear of the vehicle. If my buddy hadn't owned a DSM before me, I probably wouldn't have found it either.

Same here.

Just to add to this, my low washer fluid light works just fine. Good think too since I'm using my washer fluid reservoir for my H2O/meth injection.

The indicator light in my '99 is exactly as shown in the pic in post #9.

So i have the low windshield washer fluid light on and im not sure how to get rid of it. the damn reservoir is full!!!!:banghead:

The foglight symbol is actually a REAR fog lights symbol (the stripes are horizontal instead of on a downslope and they face right in stead of left), as found on European and Japanese Eclipses. And since mine is one of those it does light up when I turn the rear fog lights on... :D :p
On these cars the foglight botton is split in to two buttons, the left for the front and the right for the rear. European cars are abligated to have these and are obligated to have a light come on in the dash the alert the driver that the lights are (still) on.

Maybe the sensor is unplugged?

Could you snap a few pictures? I haven't seen too many of the Euro models and would be interested to see them!

Hate to bring back an old thread, but I just thawed out my reservoir (was frozen into a solid chunk of ice) and now the damn light is on.

This is the first time I've seen this light on my car. I know my reservoir is full so how do I get this light to turn off? I just unplugged the sensor but I was hoping for a better solution haha.

Meh, I figured that's what I'd end up having to do but was kinda hoping I was doing something wrong haha.

Looks like I'm leaving it unplugged unless I happen to find a sensor for less than $5.

Thanks for the quick reply.
