My plans are...

1) Keep stock T25 for a while
2) 3" downpipe
3) 3" magnaflow/RRE high flow cat
4) MR 3" catback exhaust

I need the cat to pass emissions in CA. Thinking about getting an o2 housing to possibly help with boost creep after the full exhaust system goes in. I run stock boost and have not removed the BCS restriction. I plan on doing that soon though. Some have said that I will not experience boost creep after full 3" exhaust install. An equal amount of people said that I will almost certainly experience boost creep. I REALLY don't want to have to deal with the creep so I am asking for a solid answer.

Also, will recirc fail me during a smog check? I am sure it won't pass with the state ref. Hell, I am pretty sure I wont pass with any aftermarket o2 housing. Can I get some info as to what is the difference between recirc and vented o2 housings? Will it throw any cel codes if I am running stock MAF setup? DROP SOME KNOWLEDGE ON ME!! :rocks:

PS- evo3 b16g will be put in WAY down the road, but it WILL go in. I would like to be ready for it. Do it right and buy it once, right?

The vented o2 housing or o2 Dump is like having an open exhaust when your waste gate opens, its very loud. It will help with boost creep but you probably wont have to worry about that until you put on the 16g. It Will not cause any CEL and depending on what smog place you go to they can fail your visual inspection if they notice it. The recirculated o2 sends the exhaust from the waste gate back into the DP, the Dump just opens it straight out before the DP/cat/muffler. I would wait until you install the 16g to get any type of o2 housing.

Buying an o2 dump won't cure creep and won't pass inspection. A recirculated o2 housing recirculate's exhaust gases back to your exhaust while an o2 dump, dumps gases out making a annoying noise. I would just port out the all the exhaust components like the manifold, hotside, o2 housing making them flow better, thats how I cured my boost creep:cool:
