clutch problem

No matter how I adjust the clutch rod, I still either get pump up or the complete oppostie, to where the engagment keeps getting closer to the floor. Right now the engagment is set to about an inch off the floor. But it feels like its not fully disengaged for I can hear sanding/grinding of the clutch pad still while in any gear. I tried searching and reading the repair manual and it doesn't explain to how adjust the clutch rod to its sweet spot, so I don't get pump up or the opposite. can anyone help? thanks

Have you adjusted the upper pedal stop? Go to Road Race Engineering's website and look for their clutch and adjustment section. The upper pedal stop is actually the cruise control deactivation switch, it's a 14 mm nut that you have to use a wrench to loosen, and just adjust it until you have free play at the top of the pedal. If that doesn't work then let us know.

Slave and master has no leaks? If no leaks I know some people use the full ss line from the hydrolic master to the slave and that helps with pedal.
