so i bought a 1g laser rs that had sat for at least two years so after a new gas tank, fuel pump, filter, plugs, ecu, wire set, and fuel pump relay i tried to crank it and it turned over for a secound and died then i tried it again and the pcv valve turned into a fog machine i havent seen so much smoke finaly i checked compression and it ranged from 25 psi to 75 psi now i know this is a problem but with what are the rings that bad are could a the valves be stuck some what open?

thanks

Sounds like a Sea-Foam motor soaking..junk has settled in so much with the motor being idle for those two years..

And I bet T-belts are horribly dry also. I wouldn't want to spin that motor any more until a full belt/pulley/tensioner changeout is completed.

wow sorry about that i didnt even look at it before i posted. the car does not run and i just saw today as i was checking the compression again the combustion cambers themselfs are filled with white smoke. as i turn it over the car spuders but never starts.even after looking around i could not find if its the rings or the valves but the compression jumps up evry times the engine turns over then stops on ether 25 psi all the way to 75 psi. i would really like to get it running before having to do an engine rebuild.

so an update on the situation i put seafoam in the intake manifold and in the combustion chamber then pulled the car in gear to free up the engine and first it was very shaky then it smoothed out so i went to check compression again and the car still smoked even with no fire that made no sense the compression is now zero in every cylinder and the spark plugs fire every time if any one can help please do

well last time I saw flat 0's in cylinders was when the valves in a head were stuck open. might have to pull the head, if no one else has an idea.
