I'm in the process of building my motor for my 92 GS-T. This started out as going to be a very modest build, but is not turning into something else completely. I have a very bullet proof bottom end with Wiseco pistons .020 overbore and Brian Crower rods, and a 16g turbo. My head was just rebuilt stock with 2g cams. My plans for this car is to get it to 300 hp. I want it to be a daily driver and occasionally take it to the track. Do I really need aftermarket cams? Can I get away with the stock 2g cams? Or if I do decide to go with some HKS or BC cams, do I need to upgrade the springs as well? Thanks.

HKS 272 cams are real nice and have a mean idle sound. If you go w/ the hks or bc 272's you can

keep the stock springs, retainers you don't have to change them unless their worn out. If your looking

for hks cams i have some 272's in good condition w/ 1000miles. PM me if interested

I think you should have went with less rod, and 272's. If these are the crower rods om thinking of you have a motor good for well over 600hp. Time you slap a bigger turbo on that car. 300hp would have been extremely safe on a stock bottom end. ###### could have got there with just the turbo alone, and ###### would have gotten over 300 with some cams slapped in. Sounds like a nice build up though!

Im gonna be going ROSS, Scat, GT3076R, 1150's, E85.
I may go with a bigger rod myself, even though its not necessary.:p

I ended up buying the bottom end parts way before I had the car. Will I be able to get 300 + hp with the stock head?

You could easily get 300hp with the stock head/block.

3" Turbo-Back Exhaust
2G Exhaust manifold and O2 housing
14b or S16G
Boost gauge and boost controller
580cc injectors
SAFC and Datalogger
Walbro 190 Fuel pump with a rewire
Hard IC piping
8mm wires
2G MAF with an intake
Crushed 1G BOV
ACT 2100 clutch

The stock engine is good for 400hp.
