ok so ive been hunting a random misfire problem and today i think i might be making some head-way at first when i got the car i would get up to about 70 mph and it would feel like it was misfiring so bad that it was gonna blow up but when i push in the clutch let the rpm's drop to 1,000 let out the clutch and give it some gas and its fine when you get back to 70 there it is again...but i got rid of that problem now and now im just getting a random misfire so...

today i pulled the coil pack out and i was looking down and around for cut wires/arching wires/ anything that would cause the problem and noticed that there was an ample amount of fuel sitting on the intake like a nice BIG puddle so i start looking and feeling around the injeftors and feel a slit in the one injector rubber thing"huh" yes i dont know what its called but im trying LOL so the question is....

the black rubber ring on the injector if that being slit would that cause a fuel leak or am i going nuts? and also would this cause a minor misfire/ vac leak?

they are called injector seals:thumb: is your car a 6bolt swap? if so its a good possibility your CAS needs to be inverted, although im not sure if your using dsmlink. if this is not the solution then some other possibilities it could be would be the coil pack, starter, and transistor.

i changed plugs/wires , and still a minor misfire nothing extreme like it was before so yes it has a 6 bolt swap with a wideband and an safc the spark was inverted at the motor by switching around the wires but this is the only thing that i have found thats left to check...

so i changed the injector seals and now its running like total dog s#it no joke on start it runs like it wants to die then after about 30 seconds it starts idling high around 2,000 or 2,500 rpms and wont go down AT ALL no matter what i try....

Might be a stupid question. But with tunign the SAFC for the possible issue with the seal leaking, could your SAFC tune be off?

ok well i checked the timing on the car now and the exhaust cam is retarded 2 teeth by the looks of it would this be enough to cause a misfire? heres a pic of the timing marks where they lye when the #1 cyl is tdc: the mark on the crank should match the T correct?
