Maybe the chip burned out rechip it check the engine fuses if none of that works then its your ecu

put my factory ecu in and it starts fine

Not sure if it's the same for yours but when I bought link I had the same problem. Didn't realize that the firing order needed to be switched, just switched around the wires and it started just fine.:dsm:

I can't even tell what you are typing. Please use proper puntuation, spelling, and sentance structure.

SmalltownDSMer- The wires don't have to be swapped on a 1G.

shouldn,t this ecu work with the factory eprom chip in it . to clear things up forget about the first post for now . I bought this ecu with the dsmlink already installed in it ,the guy I got it from said it worked fine when he took it out ,even with one of the chips fried in the ecu ,he said it didn,t effect it,s performance at all . now when I tried it in my car it won,t start . what could be the problem:confused:

Are you saying it runs now, but with the fuel solenoid clicking? The fuel solenoid only energizes during cold starts to increase fuel pressure by blocking the engine vaccum from reaching your fuel pressure regulator. You could unplug it. If it runs with your other computer installed, and it won't run with the replacement ECU installed with a stock e-prom OR the DSMlink e-prom, I would suspect the replacement ECU. First off start by telling us what the number on the ECU that works AND the number on the replacement ECU. It starts with MD...

EDIT: Sorry I see the #s now. Hold on Checking.....

I replaced the eprom in the computer ,part number m6111 e827 ,right where the dsmlink plugs into it , it is a square ic about 1" by 1" with 60 pins on it .now the car starts ,but won,t connect with laptop . also all other problems went away that were stated earlier .
