ic piping pics please

Ok, so I decided to play mad scientist on my talon and replace all of the IC piping with mandrel bend exhaust pipes(2.5). The pipes are mounted and appear ok, but I appear to be stuck with the air filter as I am using the stock MAF. So, my request, can anyone post their pics of metal IC piping with the stock MAF? Not that the pics will change, but mine is all mounted to the stock sidemount.

turbotalon91tsi: What air filter is that? The stock one doesn't have the angle and I think that is the biggest issue I have.

It's a drop in replacement for the 1g's. Made by none other then K&N themselves!

All looks good to me except you need to get rid of that cheap ebay MBC.

I dunno. I may be wrong, but that looks like a Turbosmart MBC, if it is, its a good mbc.

I would run some real rubber hose to that mbc and get rid of that squishy windshield washer/vacuum tubing nonsense you got on there.

Looks like this one to me. Turbosmart comes out both sides, link isn't working when i try to post it, just search it though. The ebay one comes out both sides. POS

Thanks for the input. I want to get some new hose, but this stuff works for now till I can get some silicone This stuff is in better shape then the stock stuff, so it will due for now.

As for the mbc, I just wanted something to control for now. I would prefer a ebc, but out of my range for now, .

I prefer mbc ball spring types over ebcs. Its all in your preference.

Came out nice, where did you get the piping? Your running metal pipe to your side mount also?

I bought the piping online. 2.5 mandrel bend. All of the piping is metal except for the couplers, obviously Turns out the lower pipe can be made with a 60 degree bend and and ebay jpipe modified.


I bought 2 pipes that looked like this.
