Ok. Im puting in my new Down pipe. I get it attached to the o2 housing and go to line it up with the rest of the exhaust, and there is a 2 or 3 inch gap!?!? Is there a peice of pipe i can buy to bolt in to fill the space or what ? I really need a solution fast. I cant drive my car right now and im NOT puting my stock pipe back in.

Please help,

Sorry for the bad picture, took it with my phone under my car..

What kind of downpipe? Is your car AWD or FWD? Is it a cat-delete pipe or are you trying to mate up to the stock or aftermarket cat?

We need some more information.

FWD car.

Ok. I bought a cat-back system and had it installed awhile ago.. I just bought a downpipe last week to complete my exhaust. The downpipe is long enough to where i dont need a cat now. Its long enough to where is replaces it with straight pipe. Im trying to get the DP to meet up with the rest of my exhaust system. But there is a 3 inch gap... Can i buy a bunch of thin spacers or can i get a really thick one to fill the gap?

Well, it happens. Especially if you are buying different exhaust parts from different vendors. My Dejon pipe was to long when I went to put it on so I just took my test pipe down to the muffler shop and had it shortened.

Doesnt sound like its that big a of deal in your case. Either take your downpipe to a shop and have it lengthened, or have them make a 3 inch filler peice for you...

Well i put in a temporary pipe for the weekend. But my the hangers dont line up with the pipe so one of my resonators is VERY low. So i have to figure that out.. Any ideas?

Well despite a leak from my temporary pipe my exhaust is VERY loud and im lovin it. And my car is running better. It was running rich before do to a BAD exhaust leak. Fixing my "running rich" problem has been an on-going battle for a long time. So all in all it was good. I just need to replace my temporary pipe with the right pipe and figure out something out with my hangers.
