My TSI is acting weried and it just started doing this today i can be driveing then it just loses power and starts bogging down kinda like sputtering almost and have no power then i can trun the car off and them back on them it works fine for a while then dose it again. I just bought the car and it worked fine the past few days untill today then this

I will goto autozone and get the CEL thats on and go from there i will post the code here once i get it but feel free to post replys.

CEL diagnostics will probably help.
But until then, does the stutter occur at the same RPM range? (Example: fine up to 2.5k then bogs?)

its just random but seems to start when i do alot of boosting

the CEL said i had a #2 Clynder missfire but i never heard of a missfire causeing that and turning the car off and on fixing the problem for a bit.

CEL said i had a bad 02 Sensor would this cause the car to bog down loss lots of power and miss alot?

my car does that as well when I am driving usually on the highway;at cruising during low-boost.

This is usually between 3-4k RPMs

It'll have a small amount of boost, then it'll bog down the same way you describe. Although, I don't turn off the car; I just push in the clutch and let the rpms dive down to idle then re-engage and it's fine. If it says o2 sensor that could be it. My second o2 sensor isn't plugged up beings my exhaust doesn't have a bung for it. It could be the o2, due to it not reading air/fuel ratios correctly IMO.

Could i unplug the o2 and not use it or would i have to disable it in the computer maybe useing dsm link to disable it

yeah i got dsm link but cant get it to work on my laptop or home pc. I useing a keyspan and i belive the keyspan is bad thats why the links not working. im buying a serial card for my home pc so i can just hook it up to it for the time begin and disable that sensor

I ran 10psi w/ 550's on a 16g untuned. It bogged HARD right about spool time. (I ran it like this for one day. Installed a wideband the next. I was running less than 10:1 AFRs so it was filthy rich. Tuned to 12.5-7 AFRs. No more bog.) Now, the lack of power was aided by fouled plugs. Way too much fuel + fouled plugs = slug car. What I'm trying to say is over richness will cause the problem you described.

Second, one of the early posts stated you should do a boost leak test. I agree with this and it's very cheap and easy to do.

You need to do the basics.

BLT, check/new/gap plugs as necessary, new plug wires. Check your O2 volts via dsmlink. If not oscillating nicely, you need a new one. You can't run properly without a front O2. With DSMLink, CEL will not occur for rear O2 sensor.

im going to get a full 3" excust and do away with the rear CAT and o2 all togather. Maybe that will fix the problem
