Hi I have looked through the forum here and have read about the upgrades and what not but i have a problem that only comes up now and then, at first i was leaving the mall and it struggle to rev like it was only running on 2 cylinders, and when under accel it bogged and had no power, so when i got come i replaced the plugs problem solved but just to be sure i had read on here about bad wires so i got a set of msd 8.5`s, car ran great then i had an idle surge problem tried lots of things until eventually the idle screw blew out out then i replaced the o ring and put in a new screw, now i still get idle surge when i first start the car and then it idles at about 1500 until i completely stop then it drops to 1000 seems fine, after you rev it and drive it around the city it just out right idles high about 2000 and doesnt drop until i take it out on the highway again or leave it over night, but the thing that only happens now and then is it will cut out when driving down the high way or even in the city at low rpms(drive nicely) it has power and goes on demand if you accelerate only cuts at odd times at about 2500 or so. what is this gremlin is the coil dieing, its to random to take the car in because it doesnt always do it but im afraid it will strand me on the side of the road one day.
if some one has had this problem please direct me to the page if not then any help would be appreiciated

at times it has struggles to idle and bogged when try to rev it and has turned on the engine light but this is even rarer and after its been accelerated under load it stopped doing that.
 
The high idle problems might be caused by a bad ISC or your BISS idle screw needs adjusted. Check out the vFAQ for imformation on how the check these items.

The first thing you described, where it was cutting out and having trouble running kind of sounded like you were having vapor lock problems. Did this occur when it was hot out?

The last thing you are describing might be spark blowout. Are you cutting out when you hit boost (particularly full boost)? If so, this is probably spark blowout. Gapping plugs tighter will usually resolve this problem. If not, then it is a sign that something in your electrical system needs attention. Non-NGK plugs are often the culprit (especially fancy iridium, platinum, you name it plugs). If not that and if not the plug wires (assemble yourself wires can cause this as well) then you have to look at the coil or other electrical problems. Even an alternator going out or a weak battery can cause insufficient power getting to your spark plugs under higher boost.
 
i went to the junk yard and got 2 talon throttle bodies, i swaped out the isc motor, nothing changed, it seems the idle problems are tempermental, after a nice leasurely cruise on the highway it will stop idleing so high when i come to a stop, i replaced the idle screw, oring, and lubed the ring. it seems to get the cut out running little to no boost and when at low rpm, i have the ngk plugs stated in the upgrade list on this site (the 6es ones) if i stomp on the gas pedal when this happens the cut out leaves and accelerates well until i go back down to lower rpm.
